Shake Down

5-30mins
10-40 people

This quick and highly active energizer involves the group shaking out their bodies one limb at a time. The sequence begins with eight shakes of the right arm, followed by eight shakes of the left arm, eight shakes of the right leg, and eight shakes of the left leg. The pattern then progresses with a round of four shakes for each limb, then two, and finally one, culminating in a rousing cheer. This is an excellent energizer to use when time is tight and the primary goal is to get everyone up and moving.

Workshop steps

1

Form a circle with the group. Ensure each person has an arm's length of space on both sides.

2

As a group, perform the "shake down" in unison, counting out loud together. Start with 8 shakes of the right arm, followed by 8 shakes of the left arm, 8 shakes of the right leg, and 8 shakes of the left leg, counting "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8!" Next, do 4 shakes for each limb, then 2 shakes for each, and finally 1 shake for each. Finish the shake down with an enthusiastic cheer and a powerful ninja kick in the air.

3

Revise the text to maintain the structure, while making it straightforward and easy to follow.
