Coming up with a creative solution and implementing it are two distinct tasks. To determine the viability of your solution and identify areas where your organization may require assistance, this approach can be useful. It is advisable to undertake this exercise in tandem with Staff Your Project and Roadmap for Success. Collectively, these three approaches will guide you towards the practical execution of your project.

Workshop steps

1

To effectively implement your solution, focus on understanding its distribution, identifying potential partners, and determining the required capabilities. Refer to your most recent Business Model Canvas for insights on these aspects.

2

Begin by writing "Distribution," "Capabilities," and "Partners" on large sheets of paper and display them. Conduct a brainstorming session for each category, discussing the necessary actions. Note down your current resources and future requirements. For instance, under Distribution, you might need to acquire, store, and deliver a product to your target audience. Identify smaller steps within each major category during the brainstorming process.

3

After the brainstorming session, begin organizing your ideas by categorizing them according to the participants involved, and create a separate category for needs beyond the team's scope. Consider whether you need to establish new connections or utilize existing ones, and decide if manufacturing should be done locally or internationally.

4

Examine your project staffing plan. Assess if you require extra or specialized support based on your capabilities. Include these considerations in your Success Roadmap, which is the next step to proceed with.
